Silhouette Instalift

What is Silhoutte Instalift?

Silhoutte Instalift is a simple, minimally invasive procedure that uses absorbable threads, which help lift mid-facial skin creating a natural, more youthful appearance. Because no anesthesia, cutting, or suturing is required, down time is minimal and results are immediate.

Am I a good candidate for the Silhoutte Instalift procedure?

Silhouette Instalift modestly lifts aging cheeks and jowls to create a younger look. The best candidates are in their 30s-60s and wish to naturally reduce facial folds without undergoing the downtime needed for a surgical facelift.

What is Silhoutte Instalift made of?

Silhoutte Instalift “threads” are made of polyglycolide/L-lactide (PLGA), a material that is similar to your bodies own lactic acid. Because of this biocompatibility, the threads easily integrate into the skin without causing allergic reactions. Overtime, this material also stimulates the growth of additional collagen, given added lifted benefit over time.

How long does the Silhoutte Instalift procedure take?

The length of the procedure depends on the number of threads placed and usually takes 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Is the procedure painful?

To maximize your comfort, we use small amounts of local anesthetic where the threads are inserted into the skin. During the procedure, it’s common to feel skin tightening and slight pull, but most patients report very little pain or discomfort.

Is there social downtime associated with the Silhoutte Instalift procedure?

It’s best to avoid strenuous activity for a couple of days following your procedure, but most patients resume their daily routines right after the procedure. Although bruising or slight puckering of the skin is possible, it typically resolves in a few hours to days after the procedure.

How long to Silhoutte Instalift results last?

Most patients notice improved lift for approximately 18 months. As threads completely absorb and aging continues, the face slowly returns to its less lifted position. More threads can be placed at this time.
