A 61-year-old woman presented with a poorly defined red spot on her right upper forehead. A skin biopsy revealed basal cell carcinoma skin cancer. The cancer was successfully removed using Mohs micrographic surgery in 2 stages and the surgical wound was repaired using facial plastic surgery the same day as Mohs. At 6 months follow-up, she has smooth skin and almost no evidence of the prior skin cancer. To help prevent additional pre-cancers and skin cancers, she takes 500mg nicotinamide, a form of Vitamin B3 twice daily and uses one of our topical DNA EGF repair enzymes each morning.
