A 63 year-old female who has done consistent minimally invasive cosmetic treatments wished to more significantly improve the lines around her eyes and mouth. Above all, she wished to remain looking “natural.” After a cosmetic consultation in our Beverly Hills office, we recommended fractionated CO2 laser resurfacing. CO2 laser resurfacing helps to tighten skin by creating micro-injuries in the skin. This stimulates the natural healing process and encourages synthesis of new, tighter collagen bundles. This helps smooth lines organically without the need for synthetic injectables, which can change facial proportions, if used too aggressively when trying to “fill” lines. About 3 months after her treatment, she is very pleased by the tighter skin around her eyes and mouth and her overall improved skin smoothness.
