A 56-year-old female presented to our office interested in minimizing brown spots and smoothing fine lines, especially around her eyes. With an active outdoor lifestyle, cumulative sun exposure had gradually contributed to creases, lines, and sunspots. After a dermatology cosmetic consultation, we recommended full face CO2 laser resurfacing. CO2 laser resurfacing improves the health of the skin and smoothes wrinkles by stimulating collagen and elastin synthesis as well as by vaporizing away unwanted discolorations. Down time for most patients is approximately one week after which make-up can usually be applied. The skin’s appearance continues to improve over the course of about 4-6 months. At approximately 3 months post-procedure, this patient was thrilled by her more even skin tone, softened lines, and improved skin health.
