A 63-year-old native Southern Californian presented with a large firm pink-white spot on her right upper forehead that had grown slowly for several years. A skin biopsy showed infiltrative basal cell carcinoma skin cancer. The aggressive tumor was successfully removed using Mohs surgery in 3 stages. Facial plastic reconstructive surgery was used to repair the surgical wound the same day as Mohs, taking care to keep her eyebrows aligned. Just 6 weeks after her surgery, she has healed very well showing almost no evidence of her surgery. She continues to use our DNA EGF scar cream to help maximize her healing and cosmetic results.
